Kilauea Volcano Erupts Again: Lava Fountains and Increased Aviation Alert

The Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii has reactivated at its summit crater, Halemaumau. The US Geological Survey (USGS) announced the start of the 52nd phase of the eruption, with lava spills observed from the north vent. The aviation hazard level has been elevated from yellow to orange. Kilauea is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. According to the USGS, the new eruption phase began on July 28 at 10:22 local Hawaiian time, following weak precursory volcanic movements at the north vent. During the initial phase, lava spills occurred from the north vent, and volcanic activity continues. Authorities stated that seismic activity in the area is being closely monitored and the volcano's activities will be regularly shared with the public. Following the increase in the aviation alert level, aircraft operating in the airspace around the volcano are required to follow the latest updates.
