Weather Alert: Heavy Rain and Strong Winds Expected

The Meteorology General Directorate has released its weather forecast for August 2. Accordingly, strong winds are expected in Marmara, Northern Aegean, and Eastern Anatolia, while some areas will experience rain and thunderstorms.The northern parts of Turkey will be partly and heavily cloudy. Specifically, the regions of Bolu, Karabük, Rize, Artvin, Kars, and Ardahan, as well as the inner and higher areas of Ordu, Giresun, and Trabzon, and the southern part of Iğdır and the eastern part of Ağrı, are expected to experience local rain and thunderstorms.The temperature across the country is expected to be around seasonal normals, while the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia regions are expected to be above seasonal normals. The wind is expected to blow from the north, and in the southern and eastern parts, it will blow from the south with moderate strength. However, strong winds are expected in Marmara, Northern Aegean, and Eastern Anatolia. The Black Sea Region is expected to experience rain transitions from noon. The main provinces where rain is expected include Bolu, Karabük, Rize, Artvin, Kars, and Ardahan.
