Weather Alert: Heavy Rain and Storm Warning

The Meteorology General Directorate issued critical warnings with its current weather report. While the wind in the south of Marmara and the north of the Aegean is expected to reach a speed of 60 kilometers per hour, a thunderstorm warning was issued for Rize, Artvin, Ardahan, and the Taurus region.
While the air temperatures in Turkey are progressing around the seasonal normals, a partly and very cloudy weather will prevail in the northern parts of the country and the inner parts of the Mediterranean. Local thunderstorms are expected to occur in the Rize, Artvin, Ardahan regions, as well as in the inner parts of Sinop, Samsun, Giresun, and Trabzon, and in the Taurus region of the Mediterranean.
One of the most critical details in the weather forecast report was the strong wind warning. The Meteorology announced that the wind in the south of Marmara and the north of the Aegean will be strong from the north and northeast, and the wind speed will reach 40-60 km/h. Authorities called on citizens to be cautious against possible negativities such as roof flying, tree falling, and disruptions in transportation.
While no significant change is expected in air temperatures across the country, extreme heat will continue to affect the southern and eastern regions. Temperatures are expected to rise to 42 degrees in Diyarbakır, 43 degrees in Şanlıurfa, 41 degrees in Şırnak and Siirt, and 39 degrees in Malatya. In the western provinces, Istanbul will experience 32 degrees, Ankara 34 degrees, and İzmir 37 degrees.
