Mix-up of Corpses in Hatay: University Launches Investigation

A disturbing incident occurred in Hatay, where two corpses were mixed up. The family of Yusuf K., who passed away at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University Research and Application Hospital, discovered that the corpse they received from the morgue belonged to someone else, İsmail Ü. An investigation revealed that the corpses had indeed been mixed up, and Yusuf K.'s body had been mistakenly buried in place of İsmail Ü.'s. Following a prosecutor's instructions, the grave was exhumed, and Yusuf K.'s corpse was returned to his family. The Rectorate of Hatay Mustafa Kemal University immediately launched an administrative investigation into the incident and announced that all necessary measures would be taken to prevent such a situation from happening again. The family was left deeply saddened by the incident.
