Critical Warning for the Weekend: Rain and Storms Expected

The Meteorology General Directorate has announced the weather forecast for the weekend. Rain and thunderstorms are expected in many parts of the country, with a yellow code warning issued for 4 cities.
In some regions, heavy rainfall and strong winds are expected, with winds reaching 60-80 kilometers per hour in short periods. Rain is expected in the Inner Aegean, the inner parts of Western Mediterranean, Eastern Mediterranean, Central and Eastern Black Sea, and the northeastern part of Eastern Anatolia.
Rain and thunderstorms are also expected in the surroundings of Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Kilis, Sivas, and Erzincan, as well as the northern part of Kırklareli, the eastern part of Antalya and Kayseri, and the western part of Malatya.
The Meteorology Department warned of potential negative conditions such as floods, landslides, lightning, hail, and strong winds during rainfall.
In the western coast of the Black Sea, Marmara, Northern and Coastal Aegean, and southeastern Eastern Anatolia, winds are expected to blow at 40-60 kilometers per hour, with short-term storms reaching 60-80 kilometers per hour.
In Istanbul, the weather will be partly cloudy with a temperature of 29 degrees. Bursa is expected to be 30, Çanakkale 29, and Kırklareli 28 degrees.
