Gürsel Tekin: 'Allegations of Using Extras in Membership Participation Ceremony Are Beyond Satan's Imagination'

Gürsel Tekin, who was assigned to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Administration, responded to allegations that paid extras were brought in through casting agencies for the membership participation ceremony held yesterday. Tekin defended that these allegations were a setup for them and that they had filed a criminal complaint against those responsible.Tekin held a press conference regarding the ceremony held in Sarıyer, stating that his party had held a comprehensive meeting and that hundreds of people from different political parties had joined the party.Tekin explained that many people came to the meeting on their own, and some young people occasionally asked for transportation support, saying, "We don't have the means to spend any money, and even if we did, we wouldn't do it. Because being a party member is entirely based on volunteering."

Naturally, there is only one thing to be done, and two people can know about it. First, the media that set up this dirty trap can know, and second, our state's prosecutors can do it through an investigation. We filed a criminal complaint with the republic prosecutor's office without waiting for the next day.

Tekin stated that they had called those who requested transportation and the president of the youth branches, but no one knew these people, and due to the limited capacity of the hall where the membership participation ceremony was held, 700-800 people could not enter.
