Explosions Heard in Southern Iran

Explosions have been heard in the vicinity of Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island in the Hormozgan Province of Iran. Local residents reported that the explosions came from the sea, while Iranian officials have not yet commented on the matter.It is known that the US military has been conducting intermittent attacks on Iran's southern coast since July 7. Most recently, US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on July 12 that it had launched a new wave of attacks against Iran, targeting approximately 140 military targets to reduce threats to international shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
