In Ankara, an individual applying for a driver's license, who suffers from xeroderma pigmentosum, a genetic disorder causing extreme sensitivity to sunlight, requested special arrangements for the driving test. The individual's request was resolved through the Public Monitoring Agency (KDK). The candidate will now be able to take the driving test after sunset. The xeroderma pigmentosum patient, after enrolling in the course, informed the authorities about their condition and asked for assistance. The person was allowed to take the theoretical exam in the evening and passed it successfully. However, the request for the driving test to be held in the evening was initially rejected. The patient, who applied to the KDK, emphasized that exposure to sunlight poses a serious health risk. The patient has an 80% disability health report. The applicant requested that the driving test be conducted after sunset. The KDK contacted the relevant units of the Ministry of National Education General Directorate of Private Education Institutions and resolved the citizen's problem. The driving test is planned to be held between November and December, after sunset.
