New Development in Gülistan Doku Case: 3 Suspects Arrested for 4 Separate Crimes

A significant development has occurred in the Gülistan Doku investigation. Former Tunceli Governor Tuncay Sonel, police officer Şükrü Eroğlu, and former police officer Gökhan Ertok have been arrested for four additional crimes.
As part of the investigation, digital materials obtained were analyzed, including communications between Tuncay Sonel and Gökhan Ertok. These analyses were examined in the context of crimes such as destroying evidence, unlawfully obtaining personal data, depriving someone of their freedom, and crimes against computer systems.
On July 23, an operation was conducted in Ankara, during which E.E. and S.K. were taken into custody. The detained Sonel, Eroğlu, and Ertok were removed from prison, underwent a health check, and were brought to the Erzurum Courthouse. Following their statements at the prosecutor's office, the three suspects were referred to court for arrest on charges of 'qualified robbery', 'depriving someone of their freedom', 'unlawfully entering and disrupting computer systems', and 'unlawfully obtaining personal data'.
The court of peace ordered the arrest of the three individuals. Of the suspects taken into custody during the operation, S.K. was arrested, while E.E. was released under judicial control.
