Security Guard Detained in Gülistan Doku Case Sentenced to Prison

A security guard detained in the investigation into university student Gülistan Doku, who has been missing in Tunceli since January 5, 2020, has been sentenced to prison.As part of the Doku investigation, 17 suspects were detained in operations carried out in Elazığ, Malatya, Ankara, Istanbul, and Tunceli under the instructions of the Tunceli and Erzurum Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices.Security guard Fatih Özmen and businessman O.Y., who were referred to court after undergoing health checks in Tunceli, faced the judge. After completing his statement to the prosecutor, Fatih Özmen was arrested on charges of "intentional homicide" and "concealing or destroying evidence of a crime", while businessman O.Y. was released on bail with a travel ban.The procedures for the other detainees are ongoing.
