Fish Deaths in Gölcük Nature Park

A large number of fish have been found dead in the lake within the Gölcük Nature Park in Bolu.The park, which is approximately 13 kilometers from the city center, has a lake where many dead fish have washed up on the shore. Visitors who saw the dead fish reported the incident to the authorities.Following the report, officials took action. Teams from the Department of Nature Conservation and National Parks, as well as the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, went to the scene and collected samples from the dead fish and the lake water.According to initial assessments, officials believe the fish deaths are due to the decrease in oxygen levels in the water and the high temperatures. The authorities warned visitors not to collect or consume the dead fish.
