Large Factory Fire in Gebze: Two Workers Injured, Smoke Engulfs the Sky

A fire broke out at a chemical factory in Gebze, Kocaeli. The fire occurred in a section of the factory, which is located in the Balçık Mahallesi Kumtepe area and produces various chemical products. The fire caused dense smoke in the area, and fire, health, gendarmerie, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. Two workers were injured in the fire and were taken to the hospital after receiving initial medical treatment. The fire was brought under control by the fire teams, but damage occurred at the factory. The teams' extinguishing and cooling efforts in the area are ongoing. It was also learned that two horses died in the fire.
