UNRWA Continues Operations in Gaza and West Bank

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Spokesperson Adnan Abu Hasna stated that the agency continues its operations in Gaza and the West Bank.Despite current challenges, UNRWA continues its work in all five areas where it operates.

Despite difficult conditions and significant gaps in educational infrastructure, around 300,000 children are participating in the agency's education programs in Gaza.

Abu Hasna highlighted that the agency's health centers receive approximately 16,000 patients daily, while staff continues to distribute drinking water, collect waste, and provide psychological support. UNRWA is facing a severe financial crisis and urgently needs $100 million to sustain its operations and pay staff salaries until the end of the year.

International political support must be translated into real funding for the agency to continue its mission.
