Suspect Arrested in Gaziantep Armed Attack

In Gaziantep's İslahiye district, on June 17, 2026, 61-year-old Saniye Yaşar was found injured by her daughter at her home and despite the intervention at the hospital, she could not be saved. The investigation into Saniye Yaşar's death led to the detention of 34-year-old Ö.M. After the procedures at the police station, the suspect was referred to the court and arrested by the on-duty judge for 'killing with a firearm'. It was learned that the suspect worked as a cleaner in the same apartment building.
