Elevator Accident in Gaziantep: Elderly Woman Loses Her Life

An elevator accident occurred in an apartment building in Gaziantep's Şahinbey district, resulting in the loss of life of a 66-year-old woman. The incident took place in an 11-story apartment building in the Akkent neighborhood, where 66-year-old Hazne Öztürkmen was trapped in the elevator on the 7th floor due to a malfunction. The building's residents notified the 112 Emergency Call Center, and health, fire, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Following the rescue efforts, it was determined that the woman had lost her life. While the police teams are conducting a thorough investigation at the scene, Hazne Öztürkmen's body was taken to the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute morgue to determine the exact cause of death. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
