Journalist Ertuğrul Özkök Speaks Out: Insulting the President is Unthinkable

Journalist Ertuğrul Özkök has given a statement in relation to the investigation launched against him for allegedly insulting the President. Özkök attended the Istanbul Courthouse to provide his statement regarding the words he used in a program. Following his statement, Özkök made a statement to the press in front of the courthouse, saying "Insulting the President is something that would never cross my mind." After his statement was taken by the prosecutor's office, Özkök left the courthouse.The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had launched an investigation against Özkök for allegedly insulting the President due to his statements in a program published on social media.
