Galatasaray Vice President: We Believe Maruf Güneş Will Return to Duty Soon

Galatasaray Vice President Metin Öztürk made statements about the operation against betting and match-fixing allegations.

First and foremost, I want it to be known that we have full confidence in Turkish justice and the judiciary. We are not aware of all the details of the file, but based on the information reflected in the public, it is stated that the allegations in question are related to low-value betting transactions from 5 years ago. I wholeheartedly believe that the legal process will be completed as soon as possible and Maruf will return to our side very soon.

Although the removal of Maruf Güneş from his duties seems to have upset the Galatasaray community, club officials believe Güneş will return to his post soon.
