Five Infant Remains Found in France, Investigation Launched
In the southern French town of Orange, a man discovered human remains believed to belong to five infants after a dispute with his wife over cardboard boxes in their home. The French prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the incident on suspicion of murder. A 32-year-old woman gave birth to a baby boy at home on Sunday, and the next day, she argued with her husband over the contents of the boxes. The woman was hospitalized due to stomach pain. Her 32-year-old husband, who remained at home, found the remains of five infants when he opened the boxes in question and reported the incident to the authorities through the hospital. Police teams that arrived at the scene conducted an investigation, and initial forensic examination revealed the presence of bones from four newborn babies and the decomposed body of another infant. The prosecutor's office announced that autopsies and anthropological laboratory examinations would be performed on the remains. Authorities expect that the findings will shed light on the causes of the infants' deaths and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
