Photographer Bennu Gerede Under Investigation for 'Obscenity' Allegations

Photographer Bennu Gerede is under investigation for 'obscenity' charges due to his statements on a social media program. The investigation, led by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was launched after Gerede allegedly exhibited a sex toy necklace on the show.Bennu Gerede was born on August 30, 1971, in Istanbul. He received his photography education at Parsons School of Art in the US. Gerede, who lived in New York for many years, has held numerous photography exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Gerede began his acting career with the TV series "İz Peşinde" in 1989. He made his film debut with "Kurt Kanunu" in 1991 and later appeared in "Aşk Ölümden Soğuktur". He also competed in the Survivor Ünlüler – Gönüllüler competition in 2013. As a mother of four, Bennu Gerede is known for his photography and TV projects.
