Storm and Heavy Rain Warning: Istanbul and Many Provinces Affected

A warning has been issued by the Meteorology General Directorate due to the weather change that will affect Turkey. A storm with a speed of up to 80 km/h and heavy rain is expected in many provinces, including Istanbul, Ordu, and Rize. With temperatures expected to drop by 5 degrees, authorities warned against negative conditions such as floods, landslides, and roof collapses.According to weather reports, the country will be under the influence of a partly and heavily clouded weather. Rain is expected to be effective in many regions, including the Mediterranean, Black Sea, and Southeastern Anatolia. Additionally, thunderstorm showers are expected in the surrounding areas of Istanbul, Kocaeli, Yalova, Uşak, Bolu, Tokat, Niğde, and Kayseri.Heavy rain is expected in the morning in Ordu and Giresun, and in the afternoon in the Toros mountains of Eastern Mediterranean, Rize, Artvin, Kars, Ardahan, and the northeastern districts of Erzurum. Citizens are warned to be cautious against sudden floods, landslides, lightning, and disruptions in transportation.The wind is expected to blow from the north, and from the south in the southeastern regions. A storm warning has been issued for the Marmara, Western Black Sea, Northern and Coastal Aegean, and the southeastern regions of Eastern Anatolia. The wind speed is expected to be between 40-60 km/h, and to reach up to 80 km/h in the short term.
