He noted that analyses have shown that terrorist organizations are conducting organized, coordinated, and systematic propaganda activities not only in the physical field but also on digital platforms, targeting social peace, national unity, and public order through manipulation, perception management, and disinformation.In this context, access restriction measures have been immediately taken for 2,702 social media accounts linked to FETÖ in the past month. In addition, as a result of detailed technical investigations and digital network analyzes carried out over the past two months, 1652 social media accounts that promote, encourage, disseminate disinformation, and conduct psychological operations against our country have been subject to legal and administrative proceedings by our relevant institutions, and access restriction decisions have been implemented.
The Presidential Communications Director also commemorated the 10th anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt, stating that FETÖ was thwarted by the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the heroic resistance of the people, and the determined struggle of the state.The digital field is an integral part of our national security. Terrorist organizations will not be allowed to use social media and digital platforms for propaganda, recruitment, financing, disinformation, and psychological operations. As the Presidential Communications Directorate, we will continue to monitor the digital ecosystem with our institutions, identify threats to our national security, take necessary measures without delay, and provide our citizens with accurate information against disinformation.
