Sister of FETÖ's Assassination Team Member Arrested for Aiding Brother

The sister of Burkay Karatepe, a FETÖ member who was involved in an assassination attempt against President Erdoğan and was arrested after a long manhunt, has also been taken to court.Karatepe was part of the assassination team during the 15 July coup attempt. His sister, A.A.K., was found to have aided Karatepe in hiding. A.A.K. was detained in Muğla's Menteşe district and taken to the Muğla Courthouse after police procedures.Following a joint operation, Karatepe was captured and brought to Muğla, where he was arrested. Digital materials examined during the investigation revealed that his sister had helped him hide and provided financial support.A.A.K. was detained on 7 August as part of the investigation. Security forces searched her hotel room, vehicle, and address in Eskişehir, seizing digital materials.The arrest of Karatepe and his sister's referral to court are seen as significant steps against FETÖ's assassination teams.The investigation is ongoing.
