Fenerbahçe Applies to TFF for Change in Foreign Player Rule

Fenerbahçe management will make an official application to the Turkish Football Federation for a change in the foreign player rule. The Yellow-Navy Blues will apply to the TFF for an increase from 10+4 to 12+2. However, Galatasaray is against this change and does not want the 10+4 foreign player rule to be changed during the transfer period. It has been learned that Galatasaray's management does not want the rule to change due to Icardi's departure being a result of this rule, and their plans were made accordingly. The Yellow-Reds continue to work on transferring foreign players under the age of 23.

In the 2026/27 season, Super League teams will be able to have a maximum of 14 foreign players in their squads. Ten of these players will not have any age restrictions. The remaining four foreign players must be born in 2003 or later, meaning they must be under the age of 23.
