Fatih Ürek's School Bequest Put on Hold

Following the passing of renowned singer Fatih Ürek, his bequest to have a school built in his name has been put on hold due to outstanding debts and family disagreements. Fatih Ürek's estate was divided between his sisters, Sevli Ürek and Nurgül Fırat. However, his sisters announced that they cannot fulfill the school bequest due to the debts left behind by the singer and family disputes. Ürek's sister, Selvi Ürek, stated that her brother's wealth was exaggerated and that he left behind significant debts.

I didn't speak up to protect my brother's reputation and dignity. He had two houses that we haven't sold yet. He had a lot of credit card debt and loans. We tried to pay off his debts with the gold and foreign currency he had saved.

She also mentioned that they assigned the role of executor to a close family friend to avoid misunderstandings among the siblings.
