Development in Etimesgut Municipality Investigation: 55 Suspects Referred to Court

The 55 suspects, including Etimesgut Mayor Erdal Beşikçioğlu, who were detained as part of the corruption investigation into Etimesgut Municipality conducted by the Ankara West Public Prosecutor's Office, were referred to the court after completing their procedures at the police station. The investigation covers allegations of tender irregularities, bribery, and embezzlement.The operation was carried out by the Ankara Provincial Police Department's Financial Crimes Combat Bureau teams, and all 55 suspects who had a detention order were caught and taken into custody. The suspects, who completed their procedures at the police station, were referred to the court under security measures.The investigation is based on allegations that some tenders conducted by Etimesgut Municipality involved irregularities, fake documents were prepared, and unfair benefits were obtained through parking rental transactions and construction and licensing processes.It was stated that the allegations in the investigation file covered the transactions related to the municipality's various services and projects. The investigation's basis includes Court of Accounts reports, statements given within the scope of effective repentance, complainant statements, CİMER applications, audio and video recordings, and MASAK and HTS analyzes.
