Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan to Make First Foreign Visit to Russia After Elections

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will make his first foreign visit to Russia after winning the elections in early June. Upon his arrival in Russia, Pashinyan will meet with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The two leaders are expected to discuss bilateral relations and regional cooperation. The meeting will take place within the framework of the 16th International Industrial Fair 'Innoprom' in Yekaterinburg. During the meeting between Mishustin and Pashinyan, the issue of trade and economic restrictions is expected to be raised, as diplomatic contacts between the two sides have intensified. Pashinyan had previously raised the issue of Russia's trade restrictions on Armenia. As part of the fair, Mishustin will also hold bilateral meetings with Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin and Kyrgyz Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Administration Adilbek Kasymaliev. The general session of the fair will be attended by Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov as well.
