Erdal Beşikçioğlu Removed from Duty by the Ministry of Interior

Erdal Beşikçioğlu, the Mayor of Etimesgut, Ankara, has been removed from duty by the Ministry of Interior following his arrest as part of an ongoing investigation.In a statement by the Ministry of Interior, it was stated that Erdal Beşikçioğlu's removal from duty was in accordance with the Constitution and the Municipal Law.

As part of the investigation into the allegations of 'Establishing an Organization for the Purpose of Committing a Crime, Tampering with the Performance of a Duty, Tampering with Public Tenders, Compulsory Bribery, Embezzlement, and Bribery', he was removed from duty by the Ministry of Interior as a temporary measure in accordance with Article 127 of the Constitution and Article 47 of the Municipal Law, following his arrest.

The removal of Erdal Beşikçioğlu from duty has added a new dimension to the developments in Ankara.
