Erdal Beşikçioğlu Detained: Allegations in the Investigation Revealed

The Ankara West Public Prosecutor's Office is conducting a corruption investigation into the Etimesgut Municipality. As part of the investigation, 52 people, including Etimesgut Mayor Erdal Beşikçioğlu, have been detained.The investigation covers allegations of irregular tenders, permit processes, and undue benefits. The prosecutor's office stated that the operation was carried out simultaneously in 9 provinces based in Ankara.Detained Erdal Beşikçioğlu was taken to the Police Department after a health check. Search and seizure operations are ongoing at 56 residences, 15 workplaces, and 41 vehicles belonging to the suspects. A total of 55 suspects, including 42 municipal officials and 13 company officials, have been issued detention orders as part of the investigation.
