Energy Expert Aslanoğlu Warns: Ukraine Attack May Disrupt Turkey's Gas Supply Balance
Russian energy company Gazprom announced that Ukraine attacked the MaviAkım gas pipeline. Energy Expert Volkan Aslanoğlu warned that the attack could disrupt Turkey's gas supply balance and lead to serious crises. Aslanoğlu emphasized the importance of the MaviAkım and TurkAkım gas pipelines for Turkey. The attack aimed to sabotage the uninterrupted gas supply to Turkey, he said.

On July 7, at 19:51, the Krasnodar compressor station, which is part of the Russian gas supply chain via the MaviAkım gas pipeline, was attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles.

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Kiev's attacks on the Mavi Akım and TurkAkım infrastructure facilities were brought to Turkey's attention, and they are working to prevent such attacks. Aslanoğlu stated that damage to the TurkAkım and MaviAkım pipelines could cause significant difficulties in the industrial sector, saying:

The attack on the compressor station in Krasnodar on the evening of July 7 should not be considered an ordinary attack due to its importance.

Another issue is the global energy crisis caused by the Hürmüz. This crisis has not been resolved yet, and a second supply crisis would have a much more severe impact.

Aslanoğlu also pointed out the global energy crisis caused by the Hürmüz, warning that a second supply crisis would have a much more severe impact.
