Amendments to the Police Organization Law Become Law

The bill amending the Police Organization Law has been adopted by the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The adopted law reorganizes the personnel structure of the police organization and grants the right to be appointed to the General Administrative Services Class to some personnel who are forced to leave their duties due to health reasons.The management structure of the police organization has been reorganized, and the cadre ratios for senior ranks have been increased. Personnel who are forced to leave their duties due to health reasons after graduating from police training institutions are granted the right to work in the General Administrative Services Class if they apply. With the regulation made in the press area, criteria such as news number, reader number, publication period, and staff have been introduced for internet news sites to receive official announcements. Newspapers, magazines, and internet news sites that do not comply with the rules may be subject to official announcement and advertising bans ranging from 1 to 25 days, depending on the nature of the violation.Within the scope of tax regulations, the electronic notification system has been made mandatory for corporate tax payers and real-person income tax payers who earn commercial, agricultural, and professional income. The scope of guarantee practices has been expanded in the fuel and LPG sector to increase tax security.
