In periods of high inflation, the update coefficient used to calculate the value of the premium-based earnings paid during the working life at the time the retirement petition is submitted creates a significant difference in the retirement salary.

As remembered, there was a 30-31 percent difference between the retirement salaries granted to those who submitted their petition in 2024 and those who submitted it in 2025.

Those who submit their retirement petition by December 31, 2026, will benefit from the 12.19 percent and 17.76 percent increases made to the retirement salaries of SSK and BAĞ-KUR in January and July of this year.

Those who submit their petition on or after January 1, 2027, will not benefit from the total 32.1 percent increase made to retirement salaries in 2026.

According to all three predictions, those who submit their petition in 2026 will be more advantageous than those who submit it in 2027.
