The Latest on the Expected July Salary Increase for Retirees

The eyes of millions of retirees and civil servants are on the June inflation data to be announced on July 3. SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees have already guaranteed a 16.60% increase, while civil servants and civil servant retirees have secured a 12.41% increase. With the announcement of the June inflation data, the salary increase rate for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees and civil servants and civil servant retirees for the second half of 2026 will be finalized. According to the results of the Market Participants Survey published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the inflation forecast for June 2026 is 1.36%. In this case, the six-month inflation rate is expected to be around 18%. SSK and BAĞ-KUR retirement salaries are increased in six-month inflation periods. For example, if the inflation rate is around 18%, the monthly salary of a SSK and BAĞ-KUR retiree who earns 25,000 lira will increase to 29,500 TL after the first six months of inflation.
