Pension Regulation Published in Official Gazette

The long-awaited pension increase for millions of retirees has officially come into effect. SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees who received their salaries based on the old rate in July will receive an additional 3,552 TL in August, according to the schedule to be announced by the Social Security Institution (SGK). Approximately 5.1 million retirees are expected to benefit from this regulation. The pension regulation, which affects millions of retirees, has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into effect. With the new regulation, the minimum pension has been increased from 20,000 TL to 23,552 TL.Thus, the increase announced in July has become official, and attention is now focused on the payment schedule to be announced by the SGK. SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees who received their salaries based on the old base amount of 20,000 TL in July will also receive the 3,552 TL salary difference resulting from the new regulation.The difference amounts are expected to be deposited into the retirees' bank accounts in August, according to the payment schedule to be determined by the SGK. The payment process for civil servant retirees will be different. The 14-day salary difference resulting from the 13.52% increase applied in July will be paid according to a separate schedule to be announced by the SGK.
