A Leading Global Bank Lowers Its Gold Price Forecast

Commerzbank has updated its year-end forecasts for precious metal prices. The bank significantly revised its gold price forecast downward, from $4,800 to $4,500 per ounce. As part of its downward revision of year-end precious metal price forecasts, Commerzbank also updated its expectations for other metals.The bank lowered its price forecasts for silver, platinum, and palladium. For silver, the forecast for the end of 2026 was reduced from $80 to $67, and the forecast for the end of 2027 was lowered from $90 to $80. The year-end price forecast for platinum was decreased from $2,100 to $2,000, and the palladium forecast was reduced from $1,600 to $1,500.
