Losing the Memories: Couple Receives Compensation for Lost Wedding Videos

A unfortunate event occurred at a wedding salon in Izmir, resulting in the loss of the couple's wedding day video recordings.Feride and Seref Derin, who got married on December 27, 2023, in Karabağlar, had an agreement with the wedding salon to record their wedding. However, after the wedding, they were informed that the video recording was not found.The couple filed a lawsuit for compensation on May 16, 2024, through their lawyer Ebru Bilgen, after unsuccessful mediation attempts.The court ruled in favor of the couple on April 28, ordering the wedding salon to pay a total of 200,000 lira in compensation, 100,000 lira per person.According to lawyer Bilgen, the wedding salon claimed that they had their own camera service and did not allow it to be taken from outside.
