Disruption at Dresden Airport Due to a Rabbit on the Runway

Following a collision between a small plane and the rabbit, security measures were put in place, and an Airbus A220 flying from Zurich to Dresden was redirected to Leipzig Airport due to fuel concerns. The incident began when a small plane collided with a rabbit on the runway, prompting the airport authorities to initiate standard security procedures, including a thorough inspection of the runway to check for any foreign objects. As a result of the runway checks, the Airbus A220, which was scheduled to land in Dresden, was unable to obtain landing clearance and was redirected to Leipzig Airport due to low fuel levels. According to reports, two other planes circled the Dresden Airport for approximately 30 minutes, waiting for clearance to land.
