Sentence Given to Defendants in Diyarbakır for the Murder of Alleged Harasser

The case of Ergün Arslan, who was beaten and stabbed in Diyarbakır 4 years ago on suspicion of harassment and later died, was retried. The decision regarding the defendants was announced in the Diyarbakır 2nd Heavy Penal Court.After the defendants' defenses, the court announced its decision. The court sentenced defendant S.D to 11 years and 8 months for 'intentional murder', defendant B.E to 3 years, 1 month, and 27 days for 'intentional injury', and defendants H.İ.P, S.B, M.M, and E.H.T to 2 years, 1 month, and 8 days for 'intentional injury'.On April 3, 2022, in the Sur district of Diyarbakır, Ergün Arslan was beaten and stabbed by a group on the grounds that he allegedly took a photo of a girl and harassed her, and he died while being walked around injured.
