Oil Factory Odor Issue in Dilovası Resolved

Following complaints about odors from an oil factory in Dilovası, Kocaeli, an investigation was launched. According to a statement from Dilovası Municipality, an inspection and detection study was conducted by the Climate Change and Zero Waste Directorate due to odor complaints from the factory in the Organized Industrial Zone. The minutes and reports prepared as a result of the work were submitted to the authorized institutions. After the evaluation by Kocaeli Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Directorate, administrative and penal actions were taken within the scope of the relevant legislation. It was stated that the Organized Industrial Zone Directorate of Dilovası and the Environment Protection and Control Department of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality also supported the study. After the inspection and penal action, it was recorded that the source of the odor was completely removed from the field and the problem was brought under control.
