Denmark Extends Military Service to 11 Months
Denmark has introduced a new system that extends the mandatory military service period from 4 months to 11 months. As part of this new arrangement, the first group of 1,600 young individuals has begun their military service. Following their basic training, these soldiers will serve in the army's operational tasks for 6 months. The extension of military service is seen as part of Denmark's defense strategy. The new system will evaluate all individuals who have reached the age of 18, regardless of gender, on Defense Day.
