Communication Chair Duran Announces Details of the 36th NATO Summit

The Presidential Communication Chair, Burhanettin Duran, announced the details of the 36th NATO Heads of State and Government Summit. Duran stated on social media that the 36th NATO Heads of State and Government Summit will be held at the Presidential Complex on July 7-8 under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.Regarding the summit, Duran said,

At the summit, the steps taken in the context of the decision to increase defense investments and the Alliance's efforts in the field of deterrence and defense will be evaluated with a 360-degree perspective. On the other hand, leaders will exchange views at the strategic level on threats, risks, and challenges to the Euro-Atlantic geography, and the situation in Ukraine and recent developments in the Alliance's south will be addressed. Within the scope of the summit, our President and his spouse, Emine Erdoğan, will host the guest Heads of State and Government and their spouses at a reception and dinner to be held at the Presidential Complex on July 7. The North Atlantic Council will meet at the level of Allied Heads of State and Government under the chairmanship of our President on July 8. It is also expected that our President will hold bilateral meetings with the Heads of State and Government participating in the summit.
