Vice President Yılmaz: Abdullah Öcalan Not Included in the Regulation

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz made statements regarding the Terörsüz Türkiye law. Yılmaz stated that 'Abdullah Öcalan is not included in the regulation' while responding to a question about Selahattin Demirtaş.Yılmaz said, 'The regulation is a general regulation, not for individuals. Those who are subject to the regulation will benefit from it. The decision will be made by the judiciary.'In an interview with Hakan Çelik on CNNTürk, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated, 'There will be concerns and question marks, of course. We need to pay attention to those who do not want Turkey to get rid of the terrorist threat and who spread disinformation.'Yılmaz said, 'There may be those who try to disrupt the process. A lot of effort and long hours were spent, not just by the Cumhur alliance, but also by the CHP and independents.'Yılmaz stated, 'Abdullah Öcalan is not included in the regulation. He is the founder of the organization and he also called for the dissolution of the organization. Therefore, he is in a position to contribute to the process.'Our citizens should be at ease. If there are any deficiencies or issues, they will be addressed. The intention is good. The perspective is to make Turkey strong and strengthen our brotherhood.No one should believe in speculation and disinformation. They should trust the information provided by the state.
