President Erdogan: Aiming to Reach $15 Billion Trade Volume with Poland

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in a joint press conference with Polish President Karol Nawrocki, emphasized the strengthening of economic ties between the two countries. He stated that they aim to reach a trade volume of $15 billion between the two nations.
The development of economic relations between Turkey and Poland, with the prominence of construction companies and the defense industry, is noteworthy. The two countries, having signed significant partnerships in the past, continue to work together as NATO allies. President Erdogan noted that they also discussed Turkey-EU relations and current issues during their meeting.
He emphasized their goal of advancing cooperation with the EU based on mutual benefit and respect. He thanked Poland for its support in this process. Looking ahead to the NATO Summit in Ankara on July 7-8, they consider it essential for European allies to take on more responsibility. The discussions also covered the recent situations in Iran and Russia-Ukraine, with an emphasis on the importance of peace.
As Poland is one of the countries that recognize the State of Palestine, they requested Poland's support for a two-state solution.
