President Erdoğan: We Communicate with Our Nation Without Intermediaries

President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made significant statements at the 'AK Party 33rd Consultation and Evaluation Meeting' in Sapanca. Erdoğan emphasized that they do not communicate with their nation through intermediaries. He stated that his party attaches great importance to keeping horizontal and vertical communication channels open and expressing their thoughts freely. He noted that they have a shared history, a shared homeland, and despite differences in approaching issues and lifestyles, they are a community united under the same flag and with the same ideals. President Erdoğan also mentioned that in this country, girls' education and work were hindered because of their headscarves. He stated that women, whether devout or not, covered themselves by their own free will, and that they had fought for the right to wear headscarves alongside women for decades, but were not seeking to polarize. He noted that Turkey has left this issue behind, reached a line of equality and justice, and reached a reasonable ground.
