President Erdogan Files Complaint Against Karatepe, a Member of FETO's Assassination Team

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's lawyer, Huseyin Aydın, filed a complaint against Burkay Karatepe, a member of FETO who was involved in the assassination attempt in Marmaris on July 15, 2016, with the Muğla Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.In the petition, it was requested that Karatepe be investigated and a public case be filed against him for the crimes of attempting to assassinate the president, violating the constitution, disrupting the unity and territorial integrity of the state, being a member of a terrorist organization, and aiding a criminal.

It is clear that the suspect not only committed the crime of attempting to assassinate the president and violating the constitution, but also aimed to weaken the independence of the state and disrupt its unity by creating chaos and turmoil throughout the country through his actions.

The complaint stated that FETO's coup attempt included a military operation against Erdogan in Marmaris, in which Karatepe was involved.
