Operation Against Child Sexual Abuse: 25 Suspects Arrested

In a major operation in Istanbul, a network involved in child sexual abuse was targeted. As a result, 25 suspects were arrested, while efforts to capture 2 more suspects are ongoing. The investigation, conducted by the Istanbul Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Istanbul Police Department's Cybercrime Unit, led to the arrest of suspect M.Y. on May 4. Further investigation revealed that other suspects had purchased obscene images of children from M.Y. On June 11-12, simultaneous searches and seizures were carried out at the suspects' residences, resulting in the confiscation of numerous digital evidence and materials. Upon examination, 27 suspects were identified, and 25 of those taken into custody were arrested. The prosecutor's office released a statement detailing the operation, emphasizing its significance in the fight against child sexual abuse.
