China Calls on US to Immediately Stop Blockade of Cuba

China has strongly reacted to the economic blockade and pressure policies imposed by the US on Cuba. Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Guo Jiakun called on Washington to stop violating the basic rights of the Cuban people.This statement from China came after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced new sanctions against Cuba.

We call on the American side to immediately stop the blockade and all forms of pressure and coercion against Cuba, and to cease violating the Cuban people's right to exist and develop.

China will continue to oppose such unilateral sanctions that violate international law.Cuba has been living under the US economic embargo for over 60 years.
