Severe Storm Hits China: Death Toll and Injuries Reported

A severe storm and tornado have caused widespread destruction in China's Hubei province. According to authorities, the storm has resulted in 11 deaths, hundreds of injuries, and significant damage to numerous buildings. The storm, which affected the cities of Huangshi, Huanggang, Ecou, and Shianning, reached speeds of approximately 140 kilometers per hour and spawned tornadoes in some areas. With 22 buildings destroyed and 4,855 damaged, rescue and relief efforts are underway, and security measures have been increased to prevent secondary disasters. Meanwhile, a landslide in a village in Gansu province, in northwestern China, has buried 33 people under debris. Rescue efforts are ongoing.
