China Imposes Sanctions on US Companies and Restricts Drone Exports

China has announced that it will impose sanctions on some US companies and tighten export controls on drones and related technologies to the US.The Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated that several US companies, including those in the biotechnology and resource analysis sectors, will be subject to sanctions, and that export controls on drones and related parts and technologies to the US will be tightened.The Ministry announced that six US companies have been added to the 'countermeasures list' in response to the US administration's ban on imports from 43 Chinese companies last week.A seventh company was also added to the list in response to the US Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) decision to ban the importation of new humanoid and quadruped robots and power converters, mostly made in China.Individuals and organizations in China are prohibited from conducting business or collaborating with companies on the sanctions list.
