China Responds to US New Tariffs: 'Unilateral Practice'

China has responded to the US's new tariffs on 60 trade partners, citing 'forced labor' as the reason.Beijing considers this practice as a unilateral step and demands the removal of the tariffs. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesperson described the US's 'forced labor' tariffs as 'typical unilateralism' and emphasized China's strong opposition.The statement also urged the US to correct its wrong practices and completely remove the unilateral tariffs. The US Trade Representative (USTR) had previously announced that it would impose additional tariffs of 10% and 12.5% on 60 trade partners, including China, due to the failure to enforce or adequately monitor the importation of products made with forced labor.
