CHP Deputy Ahmet Baran Yazgan Attacked: 3 Suspects Detained

Following a fight in an apartment in Edirne at night, CHP Edirne Deputy Ahmet Baran Yazgan complained that he was beaten and his cell phone was stolen. Three suspects, two of whom are women, were detained in connection with the incident and were later referred to the courthouse. The suspects claimed that they had gone to the deputy's home after a birthday celebration and had been drinking together. They stated that a dispute had broken out and had escalated into a fight.The suspects made allegations of sexual harassment, threats, and insults against the deputy. N.D. alleged that the deputy had threatened him and used insulting language, and had also injured his hand with a piece of glass. B.Ş. and T.A. also filed complaints against the deputy. CHP Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesman Müslim Sarı announced on social media that Ahmet Baran Yazgan had been summoned to the CHP headquarters for a thorough investigation into the incident.
